My Story

My professional journey is rooted in a profound commitment to understanding human relationships and mental health. With a bachelor's degree in sociology and a minor in psychology from the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley, complemented by a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University, I have cultivated a strong foundation in the behavioral sciences. Over the past five years in the mental health field, I have gained invaluable experience that has deepened my appreciation for empathy and support. I invite you to join me in exploring the complexities of love, family dynamics, and the resilience of the human spirit.

I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) Specialist and Multisystemic Therapy(MST). My professional experience includes; working with adults as a qualified mental health professional(QMHP) who served intensive clients with severe mental health disorders such as Major Depressive disorder, Generalized Anxiety disorder, Bipolar I&II, panic disorder, Borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. Upon graduate school, I did contract work doing forensic counseling services for clients who are in the midst of a legal battle. My most recent work has been conducting Multisystemic Therapy with adolescents and their families who display antisocial behaviors such as physical aggression, verbal aggression, substance use, truancy or other school related behaviors, stealing, running away and are involved in the legal system.
